The old fishermen's harbour of Babino Polje. Sobra is the sea traffic centre of the island of Mljet, with a daily ferry connection with Dubr-ovnik. Several times a week coast liners from Rijeka and Split stop here on their route to Dubrovnik and farther to Bari in Italy and Igoumenitsa in Greece.

SOBRA, a village and harbour in the Sobra Bay on the northern coast of the island of Mljet, 7 km east of Babino Polje; population 68. Chief occupations include farming, viniculture, olives, fruit growing, fishing and tourism. The surrounding slopes are covered with forests of pine and macchia. Sobra is situated on the regional road running along the island. Sobra has a ferry port.
